Hyaluronic Acid - Why it's the number 1 ingredient for winter skin!

Hyaluronic Acid - Why it's the number 1 ingredient for winter skin! - Sabbia Co
Hyaluronic acid, the holy grail product in your skincare. She's beauty, she's grace, she's everything hydrate. Hyaluronic Acid is great for all skin types, pairs seamlessly with other ingredients and can be used in your AM & PM routine.
reasons why hyaluronic acid is so great for your skincare

Lack of moisture is one of the main culprits of aging skin, which is why HA is such an amazing ingredient to have in your skincare. After all, who wouldn’t want to slow down the appearance of ageing?  Not only does it retain moisture leading to hydrated, plump skin, it is known for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This fast-absorbing product is non-irritating and suitable for all skin types. When hyaluronic acid is applied correctly in your skincare routine it allows all products applied after to be drawn deeper into your skin.

Where does hyaluronic acid fit in skincare routine

In order for Hyaluronic Acid to work it has to be applied to damp skin. HA is a moisture magnet, when applied to damp skin it allows the product to absorb and hold onto rather than putting moisture out of dry skin. At Sabbia co we have Hyaluronic Acid in many of our products (Collagen C Serum, Multi-Vitamin Moisturiser and BB Cream)

Three mistakes to avoid when using hyaluronic acid

Your not applying hyaluronic acid to damp skin

This is the most important rule when it comes to hyaluronic acid as it is a moisture magnet. It can hold up to 1,000 times its water weight. If applied to dry skin it will draw the moisture from the nearest source, your complexion! You don’t want that. It will leave your skin more dry and we know you want that glowing complexion.

Not using a moisturiser / oil after applying Hyaluronic Acid

To seal all the loving hydration and moisture it is important to apply a moisturiser/oil. We recommend for AM apply a moisturiser followed by SPF and for your PM routine using our Multi-Vitamin Moisturiser and Antioxidant Repair Oil.

Applying Hyaluronic Acid in the wrong order

Layering your products correctly is important, this is so you get the most out of each product. We always suggest applying strongest ingredients to least strongest or thinnest to thickest. Remember all products following the hyaluronic acid will perform much better and dive deeper into your skin's barrier.

To ensure your skin is hydrated this winter (plus all year round) adding a hyaluronic acid into your skincare routine is a must! We love hyaluronic acid at Sabbia co which is why we incorporated in multiple products  such as our Collagen C Serum,Multi-Vitamin Moisturise and  BB Cream (yes applying your makeup plus getting all the good loving skincare benefits)

Keep an eye out for the follow up to this blog of why peptides are also key ingredient in your skincare routine.

Stay hydrated and glowing this winter.
