Facial massage, gua sha and facial cups are treatments you can do in the comfort of your own home. The technique involves stimulating pressure points on the face, neck, and shoulders to increase your lymphatic system, collagen and the effectiveness of your skincare.
You can use natural oils (try our
Antioxidant Repair Oil), or moisturiser with facial massages, as well as a facial cup or a flat gua sha tool.
Facial massage and acupressure helps to promote healthy skin while relaxing your facial muscles. It has a relaxing and rejuvenating effect, helping you look and feel better.
How to facial massage / acupressure facial at home? And is facial massage beneficial? How often facial massage? Can facial massage change face shape? Can facial massage increase collagen? Can facial massage reduce eye bags / dark circles?
The quick answer is yes. Today I'm going to deep dive into Facial Cupping, it's my latest obsession and there is a really GOOD reason why!
What is Facial Cupping?
Facial cupping has been used for centuries in Chinese medicine but has only recently started trending thanks to the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and her recent GOOP summit. The use of facial cups can help reduce fine lines stimulate collagen, encourage lymphatic drainage, decrease inflammation, and release congestion and toxicity resulting in a radiant complexion.
The first thing that probably springs to mind when you hear the word ‘cupping’ is those circular bruises typically created during an acupuncture session using a ‘cupping’ technique. Fear not, facial cupping is a principle of Chinese medicine but without all that bruising.
Benefits of Facial Cupping;
- Sculpt and contour the face
- Stimulate the dermis to support collagen and elasticity
- Minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Increase lymphatic flow
- Enhance skin cell renewal
Facial Cupping at home;
Step 1: Apply Oil/Serum to your face, squeeze the cup, and place it on the skin (this should create a light suction to the skin) glide the cup in an upward direction, squeeze to break the suction, and repeat. Working from right to left in a circle (right jawline, right cheek, forehead, left cheek, left jawline).
Repeat each motion 5-10 times.

We recommend purchasing our 'My Glow Kit' to start your facial cupping ritual right.
