Sustainable Swaps

If you are reading this you there is a high chance that you have purchased some of our incredible sustainable tools. Which is a great start!

Thank you for helping us reach a HUGE milestone - to date we have stopped over 10 million single-use makeup pads going into landfill.

Not only are we passionate about stopping single-use consumerism in the biggest industry (beauty/skin) we are also extremely passionate about sharing tips and tricks to help make sustainable swaps in all areas of your home/life.
My best advice is to start with breaking up your house into little pods and commit to 1 sustainable swap a week!

makeup wipes to reusable makeup pads/cloths
plastic ear buds, toothbrushes, combs, razors to bamboo/stainless steel
plastic packaged skincare, soap, shampoo to glass or soap/shampoo bars
tampons to reusable period cups
microbead exfoliants to biodegradable konjac sponges

buy plastic free, there is no convenience in unwrapping plastic to throw it away
dishwashing liquid/cleaning products to bicarbonate soda and essential oils
use vege scraps into stock/soups and bruised fruit in the freezer for smoothies
make yogurts/sauces/pastes or plastic packed items from scratch
use coffee plunger or tea strainers instead of 'prepacked'

swap, sell and share - if you don't have Depop, get it.
borrow shoes/accessories for one off events
don't wash something because your too lazy to put it away
decor -paint old glass jars/bottles with matte paint - looks like ceramics
soak food jars in hot water to remove the labels and use for vases etc

ditch prepackaged goods and take fresh fruit and homemade snacks
invest in reusable water bottles/coffee mugs that you love and want to use
keep reusable cutlery set/metal straws in your car/bag
reusable bags - if you are still using plastic bags I'm not sure we can be friends.
