Setting new year goals and intentions

Setting new year goals and intentions - Sabbia Co

Welcome to 2023

At the start of each year, we are surrounded by “new year resolutions” and get overwhelmed with how much we think we need to change. At the start of the year, we like to take the mindful reset approach. Reflecting on our previous year, habits and goals. Taking this time at the start of the year to set mindful intentions on how we want the year to be. These intentions can change as the year evolves as well, you are not tied down to the exact goals.

How to do a mindful reset?

Instead of making new year's resolutions that are just the same as everyone else, go to the gym 5 days a week, no drinking etc. Doing a mindful reset is all about making switches in your life that are beneficial to you. Helping you achieve the goals that you want to achieve within the new year.

  • Be mindful of your goals, are they realistic? Do you know that you can physically and mentally achieve them? Instead of just writing “I want to have X amount of money saved” actually write down the steps you need to take to physically have that money in your account.
  • Set your intentions, the small intentions of your day-to-day life matter. This can be from how you want to show up every day, where you want to focus your energy and what energy shifts you want to make. These small intentional habits will ultimately help you to achieve the big goals.
  • Write your goals and intentions down and regularly check them. Know that change is okay. If you look day one day and realise that this specific goal doesn’t align with you, change it.
  • Take action! Nothing changes, if nothing changes. You are in charge of making your goals your reality.

Each new year brings change, growth and new opportunities. We hope that you had a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year.
