Have you tried our multi-vitamin moisturiser yet? This week’s blog is all about what you’re missing out on! Packed full of natural goodness, it’s sure to become a staple in your skincare routine.
Let us introduce one of the newest additions to the #sabbiasquad fam - Multi-Vitamin Moisturiser. This is our very first moisturising product and we are super proud of how well it’s working for our customers so far!
Moisturising is an important part of any skincare routine and as you age, this step makes a huge difference to the health, vitality and general ‘youthfulness’ of your skin. While you may get away without one in your 20’s, don’t underestimate the power of a regular, hydrating and strengthening formula like ours. Not convinced? Here’s some other benefits of using moisturiser:
-
Reducing the chance of skin problems: If you have dry skin, moisturiser is a must! Dry skin is more prone to breakouts and other irritations. For those with acne or hormonal imbalances, regular soothing skincare is also a vital treatment method. Our multi-vitamin formulation is deeply hydrating and leaves you with a dewy glow, while it protects your skin’s natural barrier and assists in its natural repair process.
-
Reduce the appearance of blemishes: If you’ve been using the wrong type of products on your skin, chances are it’s irritated and not afraid to show it. Scarring is also more vulnerable to long-term damage, which can be reduced with regular hydration and protection of the affected skin. Our moisturiser is created with completely natural, skin-loving ingredients (more on that later), which work to soothe and brighten your skin.
- Helps skin to repair and rejuvenate faster: Your face, ears, neck and chest have the most rapidly renewing skin cells on your body. This process means that each day these areas are more easily damaged by the weather, harmful chemicals or irritants. And we’re not just talking about petroleum or UV rays - even a hot shower will strip out natural moisture and leave your skin vulnerable. Our moisturiser’s ingredients boost the regeneration process, ensuring that your skin is nourished and vibrant all day long.
Key Ingredients
Hyaluronic Acid: This powerhouse solution can hold up to 1000 times its own molecular weight in water. This means it hydrates and plumps your skin, helps produce collagen, and maintains firmness and elasticity. Hyaluronic acid also holds anti-bacterial properties which protect against toxins and encourages the renewal of skin cells.
*Our hyaluronic acid serum contains 97% Hyaluronic Acid. This 97% is a 1% solution. This is extremely concentrated and one of the strongest on the market.
Hydrolyzed Rice (Peptide) Protein: Peptides are truly a superhero ingredient - they are amino acids that make up certain proteins needed by the skin. Applying these to your skin will stimulate the production of collagen and elastin - which leads to younger and more elastic skin. Peptides also fight bacteria, bind moisture, and provide a stronger line of defence against any kind of damage to the skin barrier. This means you will have cleaner, healthier, and dewier skin that looks as good as it feels.
Organic Kakadu Plum: Meet the world's richest source of Vitamin C! Each plum contains more than 75 times the amount of vitamin C found in other citrus fruits (3000mg per 100g). This element works to stimulate collagen production and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It can also effectively reduce scarring and hyperpigmentation, due to its natural lightening effect. It also contains antioxidants, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic properties - all essential to protecting your skin from day to day damage by exposure.
Aloe Vera Leaf: Not just for dealing with a bad sunburn - this ingredient is full of antioxidants, Vitamins A and B, folic acid, enzymes, proteins, amino acids, good fatty acids, and triglycerides. It’s highly anti-inflammatory and can help with acne, psoriasis and dry or sensitive skin
Organic Green Tea Extract: this small but mighty ingredient contains a powerful antioxidant called EGCG that fights DNA damage from UV rays. It can also act as a potent anti-aging ingredient to combat signs of aging that combats signs of ageing.
Rosehip Oil: This hydrates, moisturises, gently exfoliates and helps brightens skin and boost collagen formation. Including vitamin E to help fight inflammation, it’s loaded with other vitamins, antioxidants, essential fatty acids and phenols that all contain antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties.
Also contains orange peel, geranium oil, calendula, thyme, lavender, lemon myrtle roemar, olea europeia (olive leaf) extract. See full list of ingredients here.
How should I use my moisturiser?
We’re so glad you asked! Moisturiser is something we could all benefit from using - everyone has skin and it all serves the same purpose. Looking after it regularly and with love is a wonderful way to take care of yourself, and ensure that you retain that ‘youthful glow’ for many years to come.
Our moisturiser can be used morning and night, or whenever you feel your skin needs a top up. It’s currently winter here in Australia, which means you will be exposed to pretty cold, dry air for a few more months - which can be outdoors and inside your house too. And since it's cold, you’ll probably be taking a few more hot showers, no? That’s a sure-fire way to dry out your skin within a few minutes, so it's even more important to apply a moisturiser as soon as you hop out.
See our previous blog about skincare layering here, if you’re using the moisturiser as part of a routine. We made a video about it too, if you want the live action edition.
Otherwise, it’s pretty simple. Make sure you have washed and cleansed your face and hands, then apply 1-2 pumps and gently massage over your face, neck, and décolletage.
For a longer lasting treatment, you can also use this moisturiser as an overnight mask. Use 3-4 pumps and spread evenly over your skin, and wash off any residue in the morning.
Some basic information about our moisturiser - it suits normal, dry, combination and oily skin types. It’s lightweight and focuses on rehydrating, plumping, brightening, and smoothing your skin (thanks to those wonderful ingredients we just talked about). You should store it below 25°C/77°F, and of course, it’s meant for topical use only.
...and hopefully you’re all out of excuses for not grabbing a bottle for yourself! Moisturising is one of the simplest steps to incorporate into your daily routine, which makes it a great place to start if you’re just learning about skincare. We are so excited to be able to share our new products with our community, and we’re incredibly grateful for every piece of feedback we’ve received.
